Girls Rock Charleston is currently seeking volunteers to be mentors, workshop leaders, teaching artists and other various helpers for our after school programs.
Girls Rock leverages arts education, popular education, and leadership development to build a youth-led movement for social change here in Charleston. Youth work with artists, musicians, and educators from the Charleston community to create art that resists white supremacy and patriarchy and lifts a vision of a better world for young people. Youth leaders will also engage in workshops addressing issues relevant to their lives, centering on gender, racial, and economic justice.
